Pastor Volodymyr Sokhanych

Pastor of Church of New Covenant, City Uzhgorod, Ukraine.
The church started from 1993. Members about 200 people.
My family: Wife Liliya Sokhanych, 3 daughters: Lilianna, Veronika, Aneta.
My two older daughters are married. Today, I have 5 grandchildren – 3 boys and 2 girls. All my daughters are worship leaders at church, play the piano and sing. My two sons-in-law are also good ministers in the church.
Activity of the New Covenant Church
The main goal has always been the spiritual growth of each member of the church and the preaching of the gospel to the people around us. We pay a lot of attention to worshiping God. We study the word of God. We pay a lot attention to relations with other ministers and churches, healthy unity in the body of Christ.
After the start of the war, we began to work a lot with refugees from the east. we try to help people who need our support here in our city, and we also send help to the east. Our volunteer constantly travels from our church to the east of the country, carrying humanitarian aid almost all the way to the war zone, to help people right there, in the most painful points of our country. Almost from the beginning of the war, we started a food program for refugees from the east, through which many hundreds of people have already passed. We primarily help the elderly, for whom it is not easy to adapt to a new environment. They have lost everything and are now practically helpless in their needs. That is why we are trying to reach exactly this contingent of people. In addition, we prepare food packages and distribute them to people in order to support them as well. Every week we gather these people to church, where we preach the word of God to them, and call them to repentance and conversion to God. Many of them heard the word of God for the first time in our church.
